Citizen Science Opportunity – Audubon Climate Watch

Up to two-thirds of North American birds are vulnerable to extinction due to climate change. Thousands of people asked Audubon how they could help respond to this and Climate Watch was born. Since 2016, Climate Watch volunteers have collected data which Audubon scientists use to determine how birds are responding to climate change by shifting their ranges. Volunteers survey birds in their area using specific protocols developed by Audubon. Anyone with an interest in helping birds can participate. The Climate Watch program in our area is being coordinated by Golden Gate Audubon. If you want to help this effort, contact David Robinson at dvdrobinson@gmail.com.  To learn more about Climate Watch go to the Audubon website at https://www.audubon.org/conservation/climate-watch
